November 1 - November 30 – Dining out to End Cancer 2009
Dining out to End Cancer, a fundraising campaign designed to partner Southern California restaurants with a world-class organization to raise funds for life-saving cancer research efforts. During the entire month of November 2009, Dining Out to End Cancer card holders can present their cards at participating restaurants to receive 20% discount on their check (exclusing alcohol, tax and gratuity). November 4 – I Can Cope: Relieving Cancer Pain - California Statewide Telephone Class
Participants will examine the health challenges to wellness and quality of life imposed by cancer pain. An overview of pain, medical treatments to control pain and non-medical strategies will be presented to help empower participants and assist them to begin building a repertoire of  self-care techniques. This class is offered over the phone and is available exclusively for adult cancer patients and caregivers residing in California. November 5 – I can Cope: Taking Charge of Money Matters - California Statewide Telephone Class.
This telephone class helps people with cancer and their loved ones learn about and better manage key money matters that may arise during or after their cancer experience. 10:00am - 12:00pm. November 5 Cardio Conditioning and Weight Management (Part of the Complimentary Wellness Speaker Series at California Health & Longevity Institute)

November 7 – Healthy Lives After Cancer Seminar: Survivor's Rights at School and Work
Come learn about your rights at school and work, hear from young adult survivors in college, find out what can (and can't) be asked during a job interview, and what to do with a gap in your resume. Speakers include:
- Director, Office for Students with Disabilities at Cal State Los Angeles
- Colleges Against Cancer Young Adult Survivors
- Occupational Health Specialists
- Disability Rights Advocate

The program is open to all young adult survivors, no matter where you have received treatment. We also welcome family members, friends, and significant others to the seminar. November 15 – Latinos: Mejor Salud Mejor Vida.
An event that provides information in Spanish on cancer, diabetes and nutrition to improve health. November 18 – New Discoveries in Nutrition and Prostate Cancer (Part of the Insights into Cancer Public Lecture Series)
